PLISS

Period: 2020 - 2022

The "PLISS" project implemented in partnership with "Ștefan cel Mare" University of Suceava. The project was co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund through the Operational Programme Competitiveness 2014-2020 "Center for Knowledge Transfer to ICT Companies - CENTRIC" Competition Code POC-A1-A1.2.3-G-2015, Financing Contract No. 5/AXA 1/1.2.3/G/13.06.2018 Subsidiary Contract No.15801/03.09.2020/PLIS/GREENSOFT.

Description: The developed solution ensures the fluidity of information flow, improvement of resource management, and inter-institutional interoperability by providing a versatile solution that can be tailored to the specific needs of public entities. The impact of PLISS on slowing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the community consists of preventing infections through medical risk notifications, predictions, and simulations of possible future epidemic developments that allow for early implementation of efficient measures; collecting anonymized information to quickly support epidemic areas; improving response times to the appearance of pathogens in a target area; improving the accuracy of forecasting infectious diseases (COVID-19, but not only, as the platform allows for the uploading of STEM models that model epidemics caused by other pathogens), spreading times of pathogens, and creating a centralized data collection to help prevent disease spread or at least limit spread to a confined area.
